About 1:00PM when the whole University was asleep, Queen Elizabeth Hall wasn’t. The porters on night duty raided the female rooms in the midnight while they were trying to sleep. According to the source, The porters were looking for illegal occupants residing in the Hall. They checked everyone for their Identification to verify their status in the hall.
This obviously got the Queens (their official name) annoyed and they registered their displeasure about the act but the porters seemed to care less. The Queens got annoyed and turned it to a protest.
This protest caused the outgoing Students Union president, Odeshola Oluwafemi to come down to the hall to settle the protest. Things got down a bit.
This morning a congress was held in which the Dean of students, Hall Warden and her assistant were in attendance. They promised to look into the matter to resolve the issue.
